House Exchange – free mutual exchange platform
The House Exchange website/platform (run by Clarion) is closing at the end of July
If you are a registered user, we recommend that you log in and save any messages or matches before it closes, take note of people you were considering swapping with, contact Clarion if you need help progressing an existing match


The service is free to use and there is also a dedicated House Exchange App available in the Apple App and Google Play stores. For residents who do not have access to the internet, there will also be a paper-based option.

You can also follow House Exchange on social media which regularly posts listings. If you have any questions about how to use the site, once you have registered there is an FAQ section and there are some great bite sized videos you can access House Exchange – YouTube.
House Exchange is a public website. If you have been a victim of domestic violence or other serious crimes, it may not be a suitable option for you.
Please note: you need to ensure that your tenancy agreement allows you the Right to Exchange. Please contact your co-operative secretary if you need confirmation that this right applies to your tenancy.
