MB Housing is pleased to announce that our founder and director, Melanie Martin, has been appointed to the Board of the Confederation of Co-operative Housing (CCH) — the national body that represents and supports housing co-operatives across the UK.
What this means for you
Melanie’s appointment is not only a recognition of her long-standing work in the co-operative housing sector, but also a positive step for all the co-operatives we support. Her new role will:
- strengthen the voice of managed co-operatives at a national level
- help shape policy, training, and support frameworks that directly benefit member co-operatives
- ensure that the day-to-day realities of our clients are represented in conversations about the future of co-operative housing
- bring more insight, resources, and shared knowledge back to the organisations we work with
A milestone for MB Housing
Melanie founded MB Housing to provide high-quality, practical and values-driven support to co-operatives. This appointment reflects those same values being recognised at a national level.
While Melanie will contribute her experience to CCH, her role at MB Housing remains unchanged. Our commitment to providing responsive, personal and effective support continues as always.
A message from Melanie
“It’s an honour to join the CCH Board. I look forward to representing the perspectives of the co-ops we support and contributing to the strengthening of the co-operative housing movement nationally.”
