Darent Housing Co-operative was established in 1982 and manages 47 homes in the village of Sutton at Hone near Dartford. It is an independent fully mutual co-operative governed by its tenant-members.

MB Housing delivers a management service on behalf of the Co-op that includes:

The Co-op is a member of the Confederation of Co-operative Housing, the umbrella body for housing co-ops in the UK.

Complaints – how does the Co-op respond?

The Co-op knows that there will be times when they get things wrong, or you may not be happy with a service you have been provided with.  If this happens, please follow the complaints policy below.

The Co-op is a member of the Housing Ombudsman Service and they review their complaints policy annually as part of the revised Housing Ombudsman Complaints Handling Code.

If you make a complaint, the Co-op will take a pro-active approach to addressing and resolving it.  At the end of the complaint, they will undertake a ‘lessons learnt’ exercise to understand what they could have done better and improve their services.
