Our team
The founding director is a senior property management professional with many years of experience working in the social housing sector at senior management level across housing co-operatives, local authorities and housing associations. She has managed housing departments which provided services to thousands of tenants.
Our senior housing manager also brings a wealth of experience from the private sector where she managed a large team of staff overseeing all aspects of property management and repairs and maintenance.
All of our front line staff are property management professionals with many years’ experience in senior positions across the social and private housing sectors.
Melanie
Martin
Founder and Director
Melanie began her career as a book-keeper and worked for a number of years as an accounts manager for a wholesale florist at New Covent Garden flower market. She started working for Lewisham Council in 2003 where she worked in a variety of front line roles before taking on a senior management position as the head of income.
In 2009, Melanie joined Shepherds Bush Housing Association as income manager and in 2010 took on the role as head of housing operations which covered all front line services for housing. Following this she took on an interim consultancy role at CDS Co-operatives and in 2014 co-founded mbm co-operative services until the company disbanded in 2020. Melanie established MB Housing in August 2020.

Martin
Maintenance Manager
Harry began his career within the Construction Industry as a general builder 30 years ago. He has a wealth of maintenance experience and is the lead for Co-operative maintenance.
Harry will qualify as a fully-trained ABBE Damp and Mould Surveyor in early 2025.

O’Neill
Finance Manager
Harry joined MB Housing in September 2024 having studied for a degree in Finance and Accounting at Hull University.
He leads on co-operative finance administration and arrears management.
